To remove the propitiation for our sins from Christianity is to depart from Christianity, which will conclude in eternal damnation. To remove the true manhood of Jesus Christ from Christianity is to depart from Christianity,

which will conclude in eternal damnation. To remove the true deity of Jesus Christ, as very God of very God, begotten not made, from Christianity is to depart from Christianity which will likewise conclude in eternal damnation. If Jesus Christ be not truly man, we are still dead in our sins without proper justifying representation before God, if Jesus was not a man as we are, we are without propitiation, without a substitutionary atonement. If Jesus Christ be not God, it is idolatrous for us to worship Him. If Jesus Christ is God, it is blasphemous to withhold worship from him.
