Detaching warnings from the Christian life and new covenant actually destroys the very fabric of grace, the glory of the new covenant, and in doing so, diminishes Jesus of his title as Christ and Lord, making the purification of sins obsolete and keeping the hope of resurrection for this world 6 feet underground.

To be a Christian is to be dead to the old self that was enslaved to sin, and not only dead to it, but resurrected to new life as a new creation having been cleansed in the waters of baptismand the preaching of God’s word.
